About ME:

Once upon a time, there was this lady who didn’t know how to knit. And there was this other lady, named Bellisant who did. And Bellisant taught me. She’s my daughter and owed me big. I’d taken her to Paris for two CONSECUTIVE birthdays. It made sense to call my little business “Bellisant et moi.”

I grew up in a little stone house in a tiny town on the shores of Lake Ontario. When I was 18, I wanted nothing more than to blow this berg for something bigger and better: New York City, where I stayed for over 30 years. Raised two kids, dabbled in dance (Flamenco! Tap! Ballroom!), soaked up the culture, and became a math tutor (Variables! Formulas! Fractions!). But the “circle of life” pulled me back to the same tiny town and the same little stone house. I still have my big berg yearnings from time to time, but find a new happiness back in these small town (okay, now it feels cozy!) environs.

I've started fresh, joined in. And I've started this new business, doing what I love: Designing and knitting and connecting! So Bellisant et Moi is helping me start again. Life is good, and designing and knitting and connecting make it better.
